Start with one platform whose visitors can use what you built, then add a second channel with a different audience. Prepare a working demo, explain one concrete use case, and decide what you will measure after the visit. Submitting to more directories does not by itself create demand.

Some platforms combine these functions, but your preparation should match the way visitors actually use each one.

For a developer product, a runnable example and technical explanation can make a discussion useful. For a visual tool, a short demonstration may explain the value faster. For a business workflow, show the actual task completed and who benefits. Reuse accurate product facts while adapting the introduction to the audience.

What to check before paying for a listing

1. Open several ordinary product listings. Check whether visitors can understand the product and reach its website.
2. Read the exact deliverable: placement, duration, review process, and any promised distribution. Separate a placement promise from a sales forecast.
3. Look for a relevant audience and recent activity. A domain metric does not tell you how many potential customers will visit your listing.
4. Check the update, removal, refund, and renewal terms before submitting payment.
5. Set a small test budget and record the listing URL, fee, time spent, and outcome.

How to measure a launch channel

Record a baseline, use identifiable campaign links where permitted, and compare visits with the action you need: a signup, a completed task, a demo request, or a purchase. Use one measurement window and account for delayed decisions. Referral visits from a directory are different from organic visits from a search engine; track both separately.
