We’re no longer offering dofollow to every launch… Next week we’re going to push our SEO and DR hard so a dofollow is going to require a badge on your website. More on this next week 🤝
Is there anything specific you guys want me to write a guide on in terms of bootstrapped growth/distribution/marketing? I have some ideas but I would love to write something you want to read :D
I'd love to read your take on bootstrapped marketing, distribution, and growth (in that order) 😄
Awesome 🙏 Personally I think one for each would do best, right? Plus, that gives you some sweet internal cross-linking opportunities :)
Growth and distribution for B2C pretty please. I can handle B2B (it's just targeted cold calling after all) but B2C is a whole different hell that I don't understand.
Your approach on building DA or building an account on X from 0 would be very interesting!

LaunchChair is an agentic loop, but not the hand-wavy kind. https://www.launchchair.io/blog/launchchair-is-a-loop
Tried something new on the ReadingHabit blog: a monthly reading recap. Books I read, plus the data tracked by ReadingHabit. Would love your feedback on the format :) https://readinghabit.site/blog/my-reading-recap-may-2026
Great idea! This is also an SEO goldmine and you can do these regularly and almost effortlessly. 👏
If you are already collecting the data, why not share it with the users! People love data about themselves and metrics to compare themselves with others 🙃

I gotta start doing this for my stuff. I think it'd help a lot with convincing users to give it a try (plus SEO!)
What does everyone think about this feedback?
yet another task management app. what REAL problem are you solving? if the person is too careless to use a calendar correctly, how does using your app help them?
Replying is worth 50 points · 100 with Spotlight
Hop ProductFair challenge. YHT isn’t for careless people. It’s for people who are overwhelmed, avoidant, or have ADHD. The calendar isn’t the problem. Starting is. YHT helps you decide: do it, delegate it, or get it handled. Thoughts?
I can see where the feedback is coming from, but I also totally see the wedge you’re going for, I guess the problem is it’s not well described on your homepage. Maybe explain the problem and how your wedge solves it better?
Thanks for the feedback. I've updated the landing page to make the differentiator clearer. Appreciate the push.
That’s awesome! The best thing a founder can do is objectively asses feedback and iterate accordingly if there’s any validity. But assume if one user is thinking something there may be others.

similar to the previous feedback too - and I agree with jacob - landing page updates to really show why YHT can help / is better than other apps

what makes this better than all the other time management apps?
Replying is worth 50 points · 100 with Spotlight
Hop ProductNot just a task app — YHT finds your real free time, tracks how long you’ve avoided each task, and gives 4 paths: do it, AI it, delegate it, or book a service. No streaks, no shame. Thoughts from fellow founders?
It’s actually decent feedback. It’s easy to take offense to feedback like this, but if you consider where it’s coming from and iterate you’ll win. I think with some homepage iteration your value prop will be immediate.
I thought it was a great question, and I'm glad we got to have some dialogue about it.

I agree - while it could have been worded differently to be more constructive, it shows they don't know why to use YOUR app. To me that points to landing page improvement to show why YHT is better than the others.

Feature Request! Don't hop products that have been hopped already - maybe have them in a "already hopped" list or something? Another one - leave not anonymous feedback for extra carrots (hop points)
We could totally have feedback expose users given we know the trust is there and approved BuildHop users aren't likely to spam other users. Then just keep un-authed feedback anonymous. BUT, anonymous feedback you cant defend pushes change.
We have an algorithm change coming soon that's been finished for awhile. Users won't hop what they've already hopped unless they reach the end and hop again. But this will only be persistent for logged in users.
yes, with a side of yup - *perfect* - I should have known y'all read my future mind last week.

There are many other competitors out there with the same concept. In any case, good job!
Replying is worth 50 points · 100 with Spotlight
Hop Productit's not super useful. most products have competitors, what can you suggest to make this one stand out...
I agree that it's a very saturated space, what is your market wedge? How is your product different from competitors? This isn't to say you can't be successful in that space with a ton of competition. But you'll need a wedge!
Most competitors have way smaller datasets, do half of the domain monitoring checks we do and are sold at higher prices. Curious to see what are those other competitors offering the same value for money services.
I think you could probably stand to hammer that point hard on the landing page, might be a nice test for you to do.

I'm pretty sure I lost all 5 of my IQ points over night. I cannot figure out how to post a product update...
We’re going to make the design more obvious next week, but if you go to post an update here in this feed you’ll see a little checkbox that says “product update” click that.
see I told you i lost my IQs overnight. it's been lurking there this whole time.. Thanks Jacob!
No worries big dawg! Happy you found it! If you’re using it to raise your DR start creating internal pages that explain your product on your site.
yeah I need to go down the blog rabbit hole. I'm about done signing up on those dan launch sites. they're just getting more frustrating every time
Even if you don’t have a blog, use the update feature to say what you’ve changed or talk about a feature then add your link. But it’s crucial to add a link if you want the public backlink to your site.

Awesome dude! Best way to get your DR up as long as the articles aren't generated slop. Do you write them explicitly for certain search results and keywords?
Thanks man! Started posting an article a day in late April (except Sundays) and adjusted now to three times a week. Couldn't get anything done anymore besides writing, lol. Trying to nail intent & keywords, still learning 😊
Post them individually as Product Updates, it will only help your DR. BACKLINKS BABY!
It’s your Launch my dude! And this feed belongs to the users. Post away. I’d just follow a cadence as Google hates when you amass a ton of backlinks quickly.
