Explore the BuildHop Feed

I can see where the feedback is coming from, but I also totally see the wedge you’re going for, I guess the problem is it’s not well described on your homepage. Maybe explain the problem and how your wedge solves it better?

Thanks for the feedback. I've updated the landing page to make the differentiator clearer. Appreciate the push.

That’s awesome! The best thing a founder can do is objectively asses feedback and iterate accordingly if there’s any validity. But assume if one user is thinking something there may be others.

I thought it was a great question, and I'm glad we got to have some dialogue about it.

I’m sure others will chime in as well!

We could totally have feedback expose users given we know the trust is there and approved BuildHop users aren't likely to spam other users. Then just keep un-authed feedback anonymous. BUT, anonymous feedback you cant defend pushes change.

Looking forward to the hopping algorithm release!

yes, with a side of yup - *perfect* - I should have known y'all read my future mind last week.

Most competitors have way smaller datasets, do half of the domain monitoring checks we do and are sold at higher prices. Curious to see what are those other competitors offering the same value for money services.

I think you could probably stand to hammer that point hard on the landing page, might be a nice test for you to do.

i dun can things do pa!

The fact that a staff member asked who let me in is going to need some investigation from HR (also me)

“Let me speak to your manager” vibes

see I told you i lost my IQs overnight. it's been lurking there this whole time.. Thanks Jacob!

No worries big dawg! Happy you found it! If you’re using it to raise your DR start creating internal pages that explain your product on your site.

yeah I need to go down the blog rabbit hole. I'm about done signing up on those dan launch sites. they're just getting more frustrating every time

Even if you don’t have a blog, use the update feature to say what you’ve changed or talk about a feature then add your link. But it’s crucial to add a link if you want the public backlink to your site.

Happy to have you here!

Thanks man! Started posting an article a day in late April (except Sundays) and adjusted now to three times a week. Couldn't get anything done anymore besides writing, lol. Trying to nail intent & keywords, still learning 😊

Post them individually as Product Updates, it will only help your DR. BACKLINKS BABY!

Yeehaw! With your permission 🫡

It’s your Launch my dude! And this feed belongs to the users. Post away. I’d just follow a cadence as Google hates when you amass a ton of backlinks quickly.

Thanks dude! We're pretty stoked on it so far!

You want to change your avatar for your Launch? Go to the settings. We don't do personal avatars as the focus is on your launch so your avatar will always be your product logo even in the Founder Feed.

If you have multiple launches you can switch which launch you're posting from in the top right or by clicking the avatar in the feed composer at the bottom. We'll also be adding a default so you can select which Launch is your default.

Yeah I think the default might be the solution I'm looking for here, thanks! I wish I could change the avatar per comment/reply as well though, that would be extra awesome!!

We wanted to avoid storing a ton of avatars, but maybe we should consider a founder avatar.
