Who are you, and what kind of problems do you like working on?
I’m Julien, a senior software engineer and indie builder (Supacat). I like problems where the product has to stay small on purpose: curation, discovery, focus tools, anything where the hard part is taste and distribution, not more features.
Question 2 of 7
What are you building or working on right now?
Main focus is Sunday Club (sundayclub.so): 7 curated product launches every Sunday, free to submit. Also Neeed (neeed.directory) for longer-term discovery/SEO, plus Lock In, My Studios, and Shortcutly when they’re relevant.
Question 3 of 7
What got you started on this?
Launch directories kept turning into dump lists. I wanted a weekly shelf small enough that people would actually browse it. That became Sunday Club: hard cap of 7, every Sunday.
Question 4 of 7
What's one thing that's changed your mind since you started building?
I used to think shipping the product was the bottleneck. Execution got cheap. Getting the right people to care, and keeping the shelf curated, is the part that still takes work.
Question 5 of 7
What's a moment that told you something was actually working?
When founders started asking about the hard cap of 7 instead of asking me to “just add one more,” that told me the constraint was reading as a feature, not a bug.
Question 6 of 7
What's something you're stuck on right now, in any of your projects?
Getting consistent quality submissions without loosening the 7-product rule, and growing Sunday Club without turning it into another giant directory.
Question 7 of 7
What's one thing you'd want to share with first-time builders?
Ship something small you can stand behind. A tight list that people trust beats a long list nobody opens.
Fair point, I need to make the value clearer. The idea is 7 curated products each week, with a feed for updates after launch. It’s still early, so I can’t claim better results than other launchpads yet. I see your point about likes too: low counts can reflect the platform’s reach more than a product’s quality, so it’s worth rethinking how they’re shown. Appreciate the honest feedback
clean UI - but no clear value prop - why does it perform over other launchpads - clearly you don't have a lot of users so likes are actually hurting you more than helping you, good luck

Not sure what this is. List for your newsletter that people pay a few bucks to get a mention? Landing page and your intentions or why someone would sign up is vague at best.
Fair feedback, I’m clearly not explaining it well enough Sunday Club features 7 curated products each week. Builders can submit for free and use the feed to share updates after launching. For people browsing, it’s a smaller selection to explore and a way to follow the makers behind it It’s not just paying for a newsletter mention, but I can see how the page left you with that impression Who it’s for and why you’d join should be obvious without me explaining it in a comment.
Fair question. You can launch for free, paying is optional for priority or pinned placement Sunday Club is still early, so I’m not going to pretend there’s a massive audience already. The idea is smaller weekly editions and a place for builders to keep sharing updates after launch, rather than dropping a link and disappearing But you’re right that curation alone isn’t enough. I need to prove it helps people discover useful products, not just give them another place to list
Great response! way to handle pretty negative feedback. We've noticed while doing BuildHop that people do have "Launch site" fatigue but it's also lame to hate on any product when they're just starting out.
