Looks very cool but since it led me directly into the app, I am a bit confused about what it's for

Great Feedback

Glad you like it! SVG Lab is intentionally designed to take you straight into the editor, so people who already know what they want to create can start immediately without going through unnecessary intermediate steps. But we also want the experience to be intuitive for new users, so your feedback is helpful. You can think of SVG Lab as a visual design platform where you create by drawing directly on a canvas—whether that’s UI designs, posteters, logos, illustrations, or other types of artwork

can't use the product with mandatory product - which is a turn-off on ground zero where the most important moment is to get somebody's attention

Great Feedback

Thanks for the feedback! SVG Lab is free to use, with no mandatory signup, subscription, or product requirement. You can open it and start designing right away. We built it this way based on our own frustrations with lengthy onboarding on other platforms. You only need to sign up if you want to save your work to the cloud or export it and even then, it’s free and designed to be quick and simple.

Dead site, doesn't load, fix this site or remove it?

Fixed This

Thanks for flagging this. BuildHop previews sites inside its page, and SVG Lab's security settings were blocking that, so the preview showed blank. Fixed today. The editor now loads inside the preview, and there is a link to open it full size.

While not intended for mobile, you could do minimal styling changes so it displays correctly. That would let people who don’t have a stylus still use the app

Great Feedback

Thanks — this is the useful kind of feedback. One thing worth clearing up: you don't need a stylus. I built the tools so the cursor is enough for sketching — it's made for developers, not artists. That's the whole point. On mobile: more is in than you'd guess. It reflows to one column on phone widths and single-finger drawing works. You probably hit the desktop-first banner and stopped there. That said, your suggestion is on the list now.
