This is such a good idea, informing you of product recalls you might not necessarily have known about otherwise is so handy!

Great Feedback

i love this feedback! it's the number one response i've been getting, the recall functionality. if you're willing to be quoted on the site - please reach out to me on x (vibecodejoe) or joe@getkeptapp.com. I appreciate the feedback, thank you so much.

super helpful app. love all the info and how it all comes in automatically. beautiful design as well! one of my favorite features is the 'you might also need' and the suggestions are product specifc. this is very smart!

Thank you, this means a lot! The product-specific suggestions were the part I fussed over most, so it’s great to hear they land. If you ever get a suggestion that misses, tell me. That’s how I tune them.

Very cool and low priced, but do you have a monetization strategy or is there some secret sauce thing you are counting on.

Thanks! No secret sauce. kept is free to use, and kept+ is an optional paid tier. The AI lookups, chat and recall alerts cost real money to run, so a small subscription covers that instead of ads or selling data. Your items stay yours either way and you can export a full backup anytime, and if I ever shut down, you get 90 days’ notice to get everything out.

You think you’ll remember where you bought that thing. You’re sure that the replacement will be easy to find. But you forgot and it’s not. So you need Kept! I tried this for free and it’s absolutely amazing! Does exactly what it says on the tin (pun intended!)

“Does what it says on the tin” is going on my wall. 😄 That forgot-and-can’t-find-it moment is exactly why I built it. Thanks for trying it and for the kind words!

seems like a niche but useful idea. not sure if i would pay a subscription for it tho.

Fair take, and I won’t try to talk you out of it. The free version is meant to be useful on its own, so you can keep your stuff, receipts and manuals there without paying. kept+ is for people who want the heavier AI features. If it never earns a spot for you, that’s fine. Thanks for the honest feedback.

In currently use this to keep my art supplies intact and marked for use. It's usually laying around and kept came handy.

Love this use case! Art supplies are a great fit, since there’s so much stuff and you never remember what you have. Thanks for sharing. If there’s anything that would make it work better for that, I’d like to hear it.
