324-point website audit. Find out what is actually wrong with your site.
https://whydoesmysitesuck.com/Question 1 of 7
I'm someone who loves to solve problems. Usually where people see problems I see solutions, often unusual or bold or unorthodox. Another thing I like doing is helping others, the third one is games. The fourth is optimization. The things I work on usually touch one or more of these areas.
Question 2 of 7
Here's everything I've got live online right now. Split into products, services, games, the personal site, and the GitHub repos worth mentioning. Products & SaaS (live) WP Multitool - WordPress plugin / SaaS - A developer toolkit that finds what's slowing a WordPress site and fixes it, from $199/yr or $499 lifetime. Hunazo - AI marketplace / SaaS - A trusted marketplace for AI agents with on-chain USDC escrow on Base, taking a 2% fee on completed sales. Merkdex - API / SaaS - "DNS for products": a tiered API that resolves and serves structured product data, from free up to enterprise white-label. Web Data Labs - API / SaaS - Production scraper APIs for LinkedIn, Twitter, Google, Amazon and more. Pay per result on Apify, no account or OAuth needed. CurlShip - Directory / SaaS - A bot-friendly SaaS directory where you submit your product with a single curl command. FairPrice - SaaS tool - Anonymous budget matching for freelancers and clients that privately reveals the overlap between what each side will pay. WhyDoesMySiteSuck - Web tool / SaaS - A free instant 324-point website audit that shows why a site isn't converting. ShipSwipe - SaaS / networking - A free platform where builders meet marketers. MakeWPFast - Web tool / content - A WordPress performance hub with free tools and a large programmatic-SEO plugin/theme benchmark library. Fix-WP - Productized service - AI-powered WordPress emergency repair that fixes critical issues within hours for a $100 flat fee. SiftX - Chrome extension - Detects bot followers and finds optimal posting times on X, $10 one-time. The Throne - Web experiment / charity - "The global microphone for sale": the highest bidder owns the front page of the internet, with 100% of proceeds going to GiveWell. OpenClaw - Free tool - A Polish install-guide and script generator for the OpenClaw AI agent on Mikr.us. AI Hustler - Project / free read - The ongoing story of an AI agent given a free VPS, $0 budget, and one instruction: make money. marcindudek.dev - Personal site - The central hub that links all of the above products and services. Games (live) King & Dragon - Game (live, public) - A real-time multiplayer lobby-based strategy game. Chimera - Game (live, unlisted) - A creature-collection breeder where every creature is genuinely unique via a real diploid genetics engine; live and reachable but intentionally noindex. Simple Dog Game - Game (live, public) - A lightweight browser game hosted on GitHub Pages. Slime Mold Sim - Simulation (live, public) - An interactive slime-mold / agent-simulation toy on GitHub Pages. Imprisoned - Interactive fiction (live, public) - A text-based choice game published on the Choice of Games platform. Notable open-source (GitHub - @MarcinDudekDev) nginx-optimizer - One-command NGINX performance tuning script (my most-starred repo). claude-report-skill - A Claude Code skill that generates clean HTML reports instead of terminal walls of text. codesieve - Deterministic, principle-based code-quality grading for AI coding workflows. video-caption - Local AI video captioning combining Ollama vision and Whisper audio. wp-local - One-command Dockerized local WordPress dev with SSL out of the box. helix-memory - Graph-vector long-term memory system for Claude Code. claude-skill-datastar - Claude Code skill for building reactive hypermedia apps with DataStar. claude-multitool - Open-source toolkit for multi-session Claude Code orchestration. litespeed-optimizer - One command to make WordPress on LiteSpeed fast and secure. shrink - Mutation-tested iterative Python code minimization for Claude Code. img2gradient - Turns any image into a spatially-faithful pure-CSS gradient in a single file. crypto-signals-mcp - MCP server for real-time crypto volume-anomaly detection across 50+ tokens.
Question 3 of 7
The moment when i started shipping was when I was working as a freelancer and had the recurring problems with pricing the custom fixed price gigs. I was always anxious about getting the offer that would be too low ( and losing profit ) or too high ( and losing profit ) - that pushed me to create FairPrice.work - my first SaaS.
Question 4 of 7
I've used to think that building and shipping/releasing the thing is the worst part and the "end". Now I like to compare the lifecycle of the software development to human life/having a baby: - planning - idea + market research - conception - beginning of development, starting the project - pregnancy - building the product, preparing for launch, early marketing - birth - launch day Clearly, the "life" doesn't end on birth - it begins. And most of it happens afterwards.
Question 5 of 7
When I released WP Multitool - I've written launch messages for: X, Facebook Groups and Reddit, and posted them in the evening. The next day I woke up to 3 payment notifications. That's when I realized I'm onto something, because I have not expected to have any sales for at least few days.
Question 6 of 7
There's many things I'm worried about: - for WP Multitool - that the sales are not consistent and that they will end - overall that AI will truly become so good ( and fast) at writing good quality software that need for paid services will disappear or drop significantly - that I'm spread thin across many projects and they're not getting enough attention to - besides the WP Multitool, and SiftX ( 2 customers ) - I'm not really converting users - Although I've made a few games and I always dreamt of making games I failed to make them fun ( even for myself ) so far
Question 7 of 7
Don't try to do something for other builders/developers - this is already a VERY saturated market, and with AI it's getting more and more saturated on a daily basis. Do something that solves common pain for NON-TECH people.

WP needs to die soon, but I guess this is helpful for those living in the 2000s
WP MultitoolWell, it's still alive and well for millions of sites.

cool niche - too much unnecessary copy on the site though and how's this different over Lighthouse?
WP MultitoolYou're maybe right about the amount of copy, but It's completely unrelated to Lighthouse.
What do you guys think - does CurlShip really need MORE explanation why it's bot friendly?
I like the pricing, different UI - needs explanation why it's bot-friendly though

the video really adds special touch the website, well done
Thank you! The video was pretty much the core of this idea from the beginning. And one of the reasons I made this page was to make myself comfortable with my face being public. Glad it lands!
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for WP Multitool
my eyes would like a little space between the tool cards/sections, they kind of blend together as is. maybe even a grouping by the #category for us OCD browsers
WP MultitoolThanks for the feedback. I know the page is a bit 'heavy on the eyes' - in the beginning I liked it, but over time it started to annoy me a bit too.

nice website marcin, hope you'll make it - i love the putting yourself on header - black and red color choice is kinda aggressive, and might be scary though
Thanks for the kind words. The whole gimmick of the site was to be different and stand out.
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for FairPrice
cool idea - try to change font to match with message - I'd use more blue colors to make them feel financial gain, stronger weightage
FairPriceThanks for the suggestion. I often forget the color theory and how strongly it affects people.

Yay Charity boo outbid clones Yay Charity! Maybe a screenshot (mini iframe) of the King's website? i know thats trouble with CSP but might be neat to have more insight into the king
Check the domain registration date :-) If anything outbid is the clone this. It's not about the king or the website - this is a bonus. It's about the message, there's no need to advertise anything.

Fun idea. Would be keen to see if this actually works out in the wild
FairPriceWell, it did work for me. And it's backed with science. It's about the courage to use it.

Looks like an awesome tool stack for WP types.
WP MultitoolYeah, thanks. It definitely is. All the existing customers are super happy with the results.
Good question, isn't it? I guess this is something that makes so many people believe now that "SaaS is dead" AI made it way to simple to replicate a simple idea. So unless you have a really complex idea or a lot of data or much higher reach - you are going to struggle with the copycats.
Very interesting idea but I wonder what makes this solution have a competitive advantage that I cannot copy within 10 minutes.

Hop ProductKind of an asinine thing to say to be honest, this is true for most things. I guess for you a good takeaway is what can you build to make this a full product that can't be replicated easily by AI. Anything can be replicated by AI poorly, or well depending on who's behind it. But things like domain knowledge can be baked into your logic for better outcomes.
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for FairPrice
This deserves better landing page with clear messaging.
FairPriceThe page is now redesigned and cleared.
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for FairPrice
If you have any success stories or examples, you might want to include them on the page so people know how it works in the real world.
FairPriceI only have my own experience. But I think posting my own "testimonials" wouldn't help much because people wouldn't trust them anyway.
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for Merkdex
I this mainly for people that run ecommerce sites? That is the only value I see here.
MerkdexYes, it's solely for the ecommerce site owners.

The site has been redesigned ( thanks to all the feedback from Buildhoppers! ) Hopefully it's now clearer and nicer to use.
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for Merkdex
wow this is huge, but why DNS for products?
MerkdexMainly because I believe now with the AI era the code is commodity but data is the 'moat'. Also because I usually struggle to find the data about products myself - most shops display no data at all or sloppy/unstructured data.
Marcin Dudek has responded to some feedback for FairPrice
it feels like an animated word document. I think the product itself is great but the design of the header leaves much to be desired.
FairPriceYou're definitely right, it was my first AI project and the design is really bad. I'll work on that, thanks!

Curlship is launching today on PeerList - https://peerlist.io/marcindudekdev/project/curlship--botfriendly-saas-directory

https://whydoesmysitesuck.com/stats I have added the stats today to the site ( among other things ) so people can now see their progress. Also change the way how I display the stats so people don't just reach 95+ and move on :D

I have updated the whole homepage of https://wpmultitool.com/ today - finally chose the new heading, subheading, simplified a lot, removed pricing ( moved to /pricing funnel) , added "How it Compares" section...

https://curlship.com/ now has a search bar that works for the filtering too and it's blazing fast. So you can quickly find a site that does what you might need!
What does everyone think about this feedback?
Love the video in the hero section. Kept me staying on the site.
