Question 1 of 7
I'm a product manager turned solo builder. I spent 8+ years shipping products in fintech, Web3, HR tech, marketplaces and SaaS across Turkey, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the US. Most recently I led product at BiLira, Turkey's regulated stablecoin platform. I keep coming back to problems where people pay for something and still feel lost: opaque pricing, black box scoring, billing that breaks trust. I like making the hidden math visible.
Question 2 of 7
PassATS: an ATS resume scanner at $2.99 per scan. No subscription. It shows how a resume scores and why, so job seekers can fix it before applying. Rack Rate: the DeepSWE coding leaderboard recalculated on what people actually pay for coding subscriptions instead of API list prices. Open data, static site, weekly refresh. I'm also exploring consumer mobile apps distributed through TikTok slideshows.
Question 3 of 7
PassATS started from watching good candidates get filtered out by software they never see. Every tool I tried wanted a monthly subscription for something you need a few times. I wanted one fair price per scan and a clear breakdown. Rack Rate started when I saw benchmark charts using API cost while almost every developer I know pays a flat subscription. The chart answered a question nobody was asking.
Question 4 of 7
I used to think a solid product and a security audit meant you were ready. They don't. Shipping is the easy half. Distribution is the real work, and in a crowded category the product has to show what makes it different in the first five seconds, not on a subpage.
Question 5 of 7
Honest feedback from a BuildHop user. Someone called PassATS underwhelming in a sea of ATS tools. It stung, but it was real attention from a real person, and it pointed straight at what to build next. Feedback that specific means the thing exists in the world.
Question 6 of 7
Distribution and differentiation. PassATS works, but it doesn't earn yet, and it has to stand out in a crowded market. I'm also picking which consumer app idea deserves my next few months.
Question 7 of 7
Ship small and show it early. Your first users will tell you what your landing page fails to say. Treat harsh feedback as free research, and decide how you will reach people before you write the first line of code.

it is not clear for who this product is for. Your messaging is more polished than your customer definition. That usually means the words were written before the customer was chosen.
thanks, that's a solid feedback, implementing some changes as we go, should be ready in a few
Questions to buildhop I'm pretty sure how does hops completed by launches work? I'm pretty sure I have more than 8 hops on my launches - do you reckon is it just getting the first launch only?

loved the API price comparisons! rack rate is also a really cool name
Rack Ratethank you! I'm glad you like it

neat concept, needs adoption but it would be nice to just pst ppl
so glad you liked it - I'd be pleaed if you try it out
Utku has responded to some feedback for Psst – Tap a Friend
That's a very interesting concept. Good luck. Hope it would help some people connect.
thank you!

seems like a niche but interesting idea. needs a lot of adoption to be useful tho, otherwise you're just psst'ing yourself.
thank you - you can't psst yourself but you can annoy your friends haha - try it out

I love the "The benchmark" graph, the hover was very nice. Good looking site but it's not very clear as to why anyone would use this or what it's for.
Rack Rategood feedback, will make the value prop sharper

I like the colors and visual but I don't understand this calculator
Rack RateHaha loved it, the idea behind is how much money you have and how many tasks you'll have - depending on these parameters, which model can help you, hope it makes sense now

this is cool but what make this different than asking claude or chatgpt directly?
PassATSthanks I tried to implement the feedback and added an area how it's different than other tools
utkuacikgoz_ has responded to some feedback for PassATS
This site looks like you gave 1 sentence to claude, it also doesn't look complete. In a sea of ATS / resume tools this seems soooo underwhelming with zero unique features.
PassATSthanks ; actually I tried to emphasize that there's a unique styling on scoring and evaluation on the subpages - but your feedback gave me an idea to work on something definitely not a prompt btw
Has anyone else faced that while you are gonna submit the feedback, you happen to see previously hopped product's feedback board?
Thanks, I briefly mentioned on home page 1.. Claude parsing standarts is different 2. Feedback is not generic, there are concrete examples 3. Scoring system depends on methodology 4. False-positives are not possible due to the method 5. Rather than affirmative review - it's more objective I mentioned the differences in some subpages and home pages. You are welcome to try - if you don't love the results, happy to refund
this is cool but what make this different than asking claude or chatgpt directly?

Implemented the feedbacks I've received - thank you so much all!

Make the position value stronger. I can see you mention why this is better than free version in the FAQ but I think this needs its own section. £3 isn't alot of money so if you can show that quickly it will become an impulse buy.
PassATSthank you, solid idea!
utkuacikgoz_ has responded to some feedback for PassATS
Cheap enough that people will use it. The page looks good in itself. There are free options for this like with all things. I would work on showing how this is better than a free option
PassATSperfect, will do - thank you!
utkuacikgoz_ has responded to some feedback for PassATS
You need to rethink this! Why in the world would anybody pay $3 for an ATS scanner when there are dozens of free options and LLMs can do it for free?
PassATSthank you for your feedback! dozens of free options do not provide quality feedback, happy to try - I can provide you refund if you don't love the results
utkuacikgoz_ has responded to some feedback for PassATS
$3 for this is crazy, Claude can do this for free. Maybe some prose support and heuristics for specific roles?
PassATSthank you for feedback, llm quality is way worse than you can imagine + feedback here is not generic, give it a shot if you don't love it - happy to refund
