Camprtron has taken over as my main project. WorkWomp started my journey though and it's still alive and kicking. Camprtron is a niche campsite searching platform. It helps you find campsites that are close to the activities you love to do, which rather interesting specificity - A mountain that is over 12000' tall, and is within a 30 minute drive of the site. also within 300' of a perennial water source that can be filtered for drinking/cleaning. WorkWomp is a platform designed to help job seekers find jobs that actually improve their quality of life. not just a paycheck and a skills match, but a job where the morals and and lifestyle of the job itself matches the person.

For build in public? It was definitely job hunting. I was so tired of interviewing multiple times with companies and having trouble remembering what company had what perks, which sounded like a terrible fit for my personality, etc. Additionally. I got tired of updating spreadsheets. I built WorkWomp to handle all of that AND provide accurate rankings of my active job applications. I got my new job within 3 weeks of building and using WorkWomp and decided I should share it with everyone

It's super hard to sell your product to people who are looking for work

When it worked for me? haha - when I had users sign up that I didn't know who they were. at least that the marketing was starting to work.

like everyone says - verify your product ideas before you go all in. even with vibe coded apps it still takes time and costs money to get it to a place that you can show the world. Also start thinking and working on your marketing game plan from day 1 - it goes hand in hand with researching your customers.
